Business Manager

The Business Manager position is a critical role for our practice. This position supports a wide range of functions by performing administrative duties, overseeing daily non-clinical operations, and the patient flow of the practice.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the completion of various administrative tasks within a medical office.

  • Supervise office staff and other employees.

  • Coordinate work schedules and organize employee/Provider PTO.

  • Resolve employee and client issues.

  • Ensure the work facility is safe, free of security issues, and in compliance with all government regulations.

  • Maintain practice books as well as submit payroll.

  • Work with outside vendors to maintain necessary business supplies.

  • Establish a warm and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

  • Maintain a good working relationship with executives and other managers.

  • Organize and conduct office meetings.

  • Provide informative material for patients.

  • Hire new staff and complete all associated paperwork/tasks.

  • Maintain a calm and professional demeanor with patients.

  • Show compassion and grace when necessary.

Skills & Qualifications

Proven work experience as a medical office manager

Knowledge of accounting, data and administrative processes and principles

Ability to handle medical records discreetly

Knowledge of medical issues and terminology

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Ability to multi-task and perform well in stressful situations

Communication skills and a customer service orientation

Strong leadership skills

Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Proficient computer skills – QuickBooks and Excel

Ability to create work schedules

Education + Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred

  • Business management experience is preferred, but not required

  • Experience in a medical setting is preferred as well

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Professional phone manner

  • Time management skills and ability to multitask

  • Organized, focused, and attentive to detail

Schedule + Compensation

  • Full-Time Position

  • Monday - Thursday 8:45 am - 5:00 pm

  • Lunch from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

  • Friday 8:45 am - Noon

  • Weekends Off

  • Competitive compensation based on experience
